Program Structure

What is optometry
Optometry is a specialized heath care profession that involves examining the eyes and related structures for defects or abnormalities. Optometrists are heath care professionals who typically provide comprehensive primary eye care.

Duration
The Bachelor of Optometry program is a 4-year course comprising 3 years of academic study and 1 year of compulsory internship. Gain practical experience and real-world exposure during the internship phase at KD Hospital, a core part of your learning experience.

Eligibility
Candidate must have passed at the external evaluation in higher secondary examination under 10+2 education pattern or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English. Eligible candidate should have completed the age of 17 years by 31 st December of the year of his/her joining the college.
